Same here. Images tend to be fine when viewed via CR, but results less
good when exported to either Word or into an RTF file. Images are often
duplicated or 'stretched' - don't think this is related to the reports
that I've written - but might be - black art of using crystal etc...
It'd be useful if the CR client in TMS could be updated - 8.5 is about 5
years old now. I think in recent versions of CR (10 onwards?) it's
possible to export to a fully editable RTF format - something that would
be very useful since, PDF apart, gives the best
what-you-see-is-what-you-get results - and it's also possible to include
columns from Views, that are derived from functions, in formulas
(although this might be an Oracle specific issue). In version 11 it's
possible to link to images stored outside the database and also to
create parameter fields that dynamically update - useful where reports
are accessed via an intranet e.g. with a drop-down list of Exhibition
titles.
Anybody else interested, have any thoughts?

Yes, the images are difficult to deal with in CR.
I go with the default image size when I drop it on the report or enlarge
the default with the same aspect ratio.
The results are never perfect, but this works better than changing the
aspect ratio.
Hope this helps,
