We have been using all of the Deaccession fields and entering in New Use
of Proceeds entries regularly, also for our Museum's Collections Review
Project/deaccessioning, for which I coordinate in addition to serving as
the Museum's TMS Administrator. I have found it extremely helpful, and
could actually use a few more fields in Deaccession & Disposal (i.e.:
additional notes fields, Hammer Price, Reserve field). In addition to
entering the Use of Proceeds under the deaccessioning record, I also
enter a note in the Accessioning- Acquisition Terms field in the record
for the new purchase(s) and designed a Source of Purchase Funds report
to run under Accessioning and a Use of Proceeds report to run under
Deaccession & Disposal. It would be useful if somewhere in the
deaccession record there could be a field that would internally
calculate the amount of proceeds used and amount available so that this
could easily be viewable rather than having to run the report. It would
also be useful if somewhere in Accessioning there was a cross-ref to see
the deaccessioned objects, as one could quickly see the newly purchased
objects under New Use of Proceeds. I use all of these fields to produce
a Disposition Summary report for our board members. We have been using
the Deaccession fields for 4 years but have only been using the Use of
Proceeds for about a year now. Although it is a lot of data entry, it
is useful to have all of this in TMS to formulate the credit lines for
the new purchases. Thanks, Stephanie

We would love to see linked deaccessions as Related Records in the new Object Record. Perhaps this has been addressed in the upgrade.

We are probably missing something obvious: does New Object Number appear in the deaccession query groups for other users (our version is 9.15)?
