Are you familiar with "Museum Mannequins: A Guide for Creating the
Perfect Fit," ed. by Margot Brunn and Joanne White, and published by the
Alberta Regional Group of Conservators? While it primarily provides case
studies of building and/or adapting mannequins for specific historic
garments, there are some general essays regarding the use of mannequins
in the museum setting, as well as a useful bibliography. There's more
information available about it at:

Subject: Costume exhibition protocols?

Hi everyone I'm posting this for Anahid Akasheh. When you reply to the
list,
please reply to "all" Thanks, Mary Ballard

Does any one have a current guide of the protocols and procedures for
dressing mannequins with period garments? Something that would
distinguish
'dressing' a store mannequin from dressing a period display in a museum?
