Hello Heikki,
Yes, we've noticed this type of sort order in the 2010 hierarchy views and the shipping crates and have been meaning to ask gs about this. We would be interested in solutions too.

Subject: Sorting order in Move>Current Selection
Hi,
In TMS 2010, when moving multiple objects to a new location by using the
Move>Current Selection option, the Select Objects screen appears. Here sadly
the objects are sorted by ObjectNumber, instead of SortNumber,
thus producing the following order: A1, A11, A12, A2, A3 etc. Not so
handy while having to move many selected objects from a large record
set...
I haven't yet found a way to change this myself. Does anybody have suggestions?
