What is the possibility of GS licensing an online version of the CCO?
This would be most helpful moving forward.

If ever there was a topic ripe for a webinar, this is it. Brenda and
Emmanuelle have already agreed to be presenters, and Emmanuelle has
generously agreed to submit her cataloguing manual to the Shared
Resources section of the GS support site.

I'll get back to everyone on the list soon with the exact date/time of
the webinar.

The Met is also about to embark on a mammoth standardization project. We
will be using CCO as a guide. I would love to hear how others are
translating the CCO standards to TMS fields. Has anyone done this?

It might be good to have a CCO session at the next Collective
Imagination conference in April. The Met will be hosting.

Ditto for us - the Gallery would also be interested in this topic.

All the best,

Hi Emily,

Your message is timely, as I've recently begun reviewing our TMS style
guide documents and using CCO as a reference. For each area of
cataloging I am defining crosswalks between TMS, CCO, and other schemas,
and documenting where our current practice differs from CCO. I'd love
to be a part of discussion in this area, so count me in!

Best,

Brenda

Greetings,

I would love to hear from institutions who have customized TMS to
conform to CCO standards. There seems to be a lot of information on the
Internet about standard, but very little about the actual implementation
of the standard in a real live museum. Please contact me even if you are
only interested in this topic, maybe we can form some kind of working
group.

Thank you,
