Alice Cole: There's a review article by Jane Hutchins, "Regenerated
Cellulosics: Their Fabrication and Finishing before 1940" in the 1984
ICOM-CC Preprints (Copenhagen pages 84.9.19-21) that discusses various
rayons and has numerous references. You might find it a helpful place to
start.

I am treating a garment made of satin that has silk in the warp and a
weft of cupramonium rayon. The date of the object is 1938. I am looking
to spot clean areas of the object to remove water marks and tide lines.
Does anyone have previous experience of treating this mix of fibres, or
cupramonium rayon atall?
