Dear Dr. Richards,

The close-up of this fabric looks like an even-weave pattern in linen
fibers. Some of the strands are thinner than others and that is what I
am basing my determination on. The one lady who collects and sells these
Skookum dolls online, also provides the history of them at:
http://www.skookumgal.com/ She states that the patent for the dolls was
granted in 1914, and that they were made for fifty years.

Hope this helps.
