We used to use a similar procedure with herbarium specimens
(dried, pressed plants for scientific study, glued to pieces of
paper). Our protocol was bundles of specimens, double-bagged in
large garbage bags, placed in a chest freezer for 3 days, then
held in the bags at room temperature for 3-5 days, and frozen
again for another 3 days. Thaw in the closed bags, and then
replace in specimen cabinets.

Have you considered glue or pheromone traps for monitoring this
room and adjacent rooms?

Kay
