Hi Everyone,

A few more food-related books:

*Anthony Bourdain's works ("Kitchen Confidential," "A Cook's Tour," "The
Nasty Bits").

*My wife just finished "My Life in France," and loved it (it's on my
ever-growing reading list, too). She also liked "Julie and Julia," a
memoir outlining one woman's quest to cook ALL the entries in Julia
Child's groundbreaking "Mastering the Art of French Cooking."

*Another great book -- with TONS of programming potential -- is "Hungry
Planet," by Peter Menzel and Faith D'Aluisio. It's a coffeetable book
focusing on the eating habits of 30 families spanning the globe. Each
family is pictured with a week's supply of food; the food is itemized
and broken down by cost. A short chapter follows on the family's
day-to-day food activities. It's a GREAT look into the relationship
between prosperity, consumerism, class and diet. I think it'd be great
to do something similar for a family at each of the six Michigan sites ...
