Hi Frances,

The ObjectSortNumber consists of 56 digits (mostly spaces), all of which have to be filled. So even if your accession number is relatively short, this field is still already "full".
Try deleting two spaces from the end of the field, and then type 19 (or 20) where needed. The resulting value of the field will be 56 digits again and the accession number will sort properly.
