I've always liked "Identification of Textile Materials" seventh edition,
published by The Textile Institute, Manchester in 1985. ( ISBN 0 900739
18 ) It contains very nice photomicrographs of fibers and is generally
a clear and concise book. Perhaps it has been revised? I got my copy
via Archetype Books in London.

We are in the process of updating our museum library. I would like to
add a
book about fiber identification to our collection. I would really like
one that
focuses on microscopic identification with images of many different
fibers.
Does anyone know of any good books on this subject?

Thank you!
