Hi Stephanie;

I can confirm that this is happening with our TMS 2016 R2 installation as well. I have a flex field group called FFG Loan. In my Loan Remarks field I add the value "Test". I then went into Maintenance->Flex Fields and added to this group a new field called "New Field" and then went back to the object record. I then replaced the flex field group with a different one and then replaced it with FFG Loan and although New Field was there, the value of "Test" in my Loan Remarks field had been replaced with "(not assigned)".

As we're currently in the process of migrating our data to TMS, I'll bring this to the attention of our migration specialist that I'm working with at TMS and see if there is something that we're not doing correctly or if this is an issue they can resolve.

Brad

Subject: flex field group issues

Dear all,

Have any of you experienced the following problem when modifying flex field groups?

We have been having trouble with data loss after modifying sub-fields in flex field groups. After I add or remove fields in the authority, I have to add the FFG to the record again in order for the new fields to populate. This resets the FFG in the record, and I end up losing all existing data there. To preserve my data, I have had to screenshot the record, and repopulate all the lost fields. There has to be a better way!

Have any of you experienced this issue? Do you have any workarounds?

Many thanks,
Stephanie Burdzy
