Hello Ana.

We recently researched the exact situation, so I'm happy to share our findings.

We found the Zebra/Symbol CS4070 Companion Scanner to be compact, cost-effective, 1D/2D barcode readability, includes a date/time stamp in data capture to a notepad file, and has been tried and true with TMS Barcode Manager.

My only thought in choosing a scanner, in hindsight, would be that it might be beneficial to have a display screen on the scanner, as it might confirm an object/location/crate has been scanned accurately; it would be easy to identify if on a display, as TMS barcodes end in 0 if a location, 1 if a crate, 2 if an object.

I hope this is helpful information.

Best regards,

Michelle
