Hi Suzanne,
I'd love to see your manual on linking images to TMS. Has your brilliant
Larry Giacoletti figuered out how to use the batch upload plug in?
Thanks,

The brilliant Larry Giacoletti at the Whitney has written a manual on how
to
link images to objects in TMS and now curatorial assistants do it
themselves. I'm sure we can share it with you. I do not like to attach
such things to a list serve as it has a lot of screenshots in it. But I
will email it to you individually if you wish. Let me know if you want it
and I'll email it the week of the 17th.

BYTW, We don't care much whether poor images are added to the database if
it
is the only image we have. The database is used for ID purposes only.
Larger image files are stored on CD's, etc., and bitmapped for TMS.

Subject: Linking Images
Hi All,
We have only started using the Media Module during the past year or so.
Over the next several months are hoping to begin linking all permanent
collection images as a project executed by our Photography Dept. but
managed by me. I wanted to ask whether any museums have centralized the
project like this and limited access to creating records in the media
module to only a small group. Particularly for larger museum's, if you
have allowed curatorial and other dept's such as Design, Conservation to
link images, how has this been coordinated to ensure that poor images are
not added to the database, and how has it gone?
Many Thanks for your advice.
