Hello Jim,

Companies usually have an IT department in charge of what you´re saying. But I do not know a Museum with such department…
Regarding TMS, I would suggest creating security groups as “roles” with the needed permissions for each department. Then somebody in charge of security would just need to assign a specified security group to each user…Otherwise, to have such responsibility it is needed to know about TMS functionality..

If you are looking for some policy for managing all information related to the museum collections, as Frances says, so it would regard infrastructure revision..
