Hi Mary Grace,
We've never generated our own video to be aired on public TV but we work
with them often. We sponsor some of their programs and they put a small
commercial about us after each program. If we were on the ball, we'd have
them change it to talk about our MoMS exhibits.
Idaho Public Television also produces an 8 minute video for us to show at
our big events - like annual dinners and such. We do this maybe every 5
years or so and they give us a nice discount.
Of course, it helps that our Chairman is Director of Broadcasting but we've
always had a good relationship.
I'm not sure if this helps but I thought I throw it out there.

Subject: Use of public television
Hello everyone,
We here in NJ are taking steps to pursue generating a short video about Key
Ingredients in New Jersey to air on our public television station. If we
were to do something through their "State of the Arts," we would need an
arts component; if not, we would need to provide our own funding to produce
something.
I know Michigan has generated videos that have aired on their public
television stations (and has worked with their Arts Council). Are there
other states that have done (or at least attempted) something similar? Was
it necessary to collaborate with the Arts Council, and if so, how did that
collaboration work?
