Hello Tierra,

The National Museum of Asian Art (and other Smithsonian museums) use SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) in addition to Crystal Reports XI.

It TMS I call these "spreadsheet" reports, because they are designed to be exported as Excel docs for all sorts of purposes. People love having images included in spreadsheets, too.

If you can write SQL queries, you can create SSRS reports!

Subject: Updating TMS and Crystal Reports

Hello,

We are embarking on updating our TMS 2018, and our even older Crystal Reports and looking towards TMS collections and considering the best options for reports.

Would anyone be willing to share their experience with moving from windows based TMS to TMS Collections? Any hints, tips, tricks, or insights would be deeply appreciated and greatly welcomed!

Looking at other reports' software options, our IT Director encouraged us to look into Power Bi from Microsoft (SQL Based). Has anyone use Power Bi with TMS before? Is there a SQL system your institution uses other than Crystal Reports that you find valuable?

Thank you for sharing your insights and knowledge!

Best,
Tierra
