The booking letter for the 2007 tour of the Museum on Main Street
exhibitions has just gone out to state council Executive
Directors. Councils interested in booking Key Ingredients: America by
Food; Between Fences; and our latest exhibition tentatively titled American
Roots Music, should respond by December 3.

As you know, Museum on Main Street is a partnership between state
humanities councils nationwide and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling
Exhibition Service (SITES) that provides Smithsonian quality exhibitions as
the basis for locally developed programs in small, rural communities. To
date, Museum on Main Street has engaged 425 small towns in 36 states. For
more inIformation or if you have questions, please don't hesitate to
contact LuAnn Kern (517) 663-4485, or Carol Harsh (202/357-1760), or visit
the Museum on Main Street web site at www.museumonmainstreet.org.
