Carol:   You may already know this, but the ALA has an exhibit going 
around on the Depression era and the host communities do local 
programming.  I don't have a lot of details, though I wrote letters of 
support for two sites in IL.  I think there's info on the ALA website, 
but let me know if you need more and I can hook you up with a couple 
sites.
