Dear Colleagues,

Abstracts are being sought for the 38th annual AIC conference to be held in Milwaukee, WI May 11-14, 2010. The theme for the meeting is the Conservation Continuum: examining the past and envisioning the future. Please consider the changes that you have made to treatment choices over the years based on available materials, changes in technology, or simply past treatment re-evaluations. The theme is quite open to interpretation and we look forward to an exciting group of presentations! Please contact me with any questions or if you are interested in seeing (and presenting) at a TSG tips session.

How to Submit an Abstract
To present a paper for consideration, please send an abstract of no more than 500 words to
Ruth Seyler, Membership and Meetings Director, via email to:

Please indicate on the abstract for which session/sessions you wish the paper to be considered: general session, specialty group sessions, or posters. Please limit your choices to three sessions and rank them in order of preference. For example, you choices could be "(1) General Session, (2) Objects, and (3) Poster Session" or "(1) Objects, (2) General Session, and (3) Wooden Artifacts." Please see below for the different session options.

Papers should be tailored to a 20-to-30 minute presentation time frame.

Please include complete contact information, including job title and host institution for each author if applicable.

Deadline: Abstracts must be sent in by September 1, 2009. Note that all abstracts for the general session and specialty group sessions now have the same submission deadline. Submissions for posters only will be accepted until October 15, 2009.
