To all TMSers that have been having trouble exporting files with images
lately:
We just had a breakthrough here that you may or may not know about. I was
talking to Tyrone McCloud, our network administrator, about the problem with
exporting Crystal Reports with images (stretching, doubling, strange
cropping). He suggested the following method and it works!
1. Make sure that Adobe Acrobat Professional is installed on your computer.
(You need to be able to create PDF files, not just read them.)
2. Run your report in TMS.
3. When the report displays, go to printer setup and select Adobe PDF for
your printer. (You are going to print to file rather than export.)
4. Then click on the print icon. Name your file and save it where you want
it.
Your PDF file will be created quickly and will open up in Adobe Acrobat.
And hopefully look gorgeous! Mine does.
This method does mean you have to install Professional on your users'
computers, but we figure this can be on a case by case basis.
Cheers,
Jenny
