I strongly advise against using TMS for archives. There are better products available for that and it's a rabbit hole you may want to avoid We use TMS for art and artifacts, ArchivesSpace for archival control, and a ILS for Bibliographic cataloging.

Hi All,

My institution has used TMS since 2004 and just upgraded to TMS Collections. We have a fairly extensive archives department, but the record keeping for that in TMS has been sporadic and inconsistently done. Now that we have TMS Collections, we are hoping to tackle the problems with these records. Has anyone managed to configure TMS records for archival materials? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Kira
