Hello all. Make sure the "can grow" box is checked for your image properties - that way the dimensions can stay proportional. If images are cropped in Crystal, it may be that the subreport box needs enlarging to match the image size determined by the image's properties. If images don't show up at all, it is likely that they're not marked to be stored in the db. I have had some image quality problems when exporting to Acrobat, especially when the size is reduced to less than 50%, but the tech people at Seagate tell me there's nothing they can do. Hope some of this helps. It will change. Our problem with images and reports is also the distorted image problem, or no images showing up at all even when we know they are there. We have determined that the distorted image problem is the result of cropping before putting thumbs in TMS. Thumbs+ fills the created thumbs out to 192 x 192 ppi, and if the image is cropped in Thumbs+ the image comes out distorted in a TMS report. The images that are not showing up at all is another problem. In either case we may have go back and do some batch fixing. Thanks for your response. We have had nothing but grey skies here for over a week. In answer to your question, we had been using the canned report "object list with images" with some revisions. The thumbnail images are slightly distorted on the canned report. The person who revised this report no longer works with us unfortunately. I was having trouble sending the report to people using the acrobat reader.. Some recipients were getting distortions of this report. I've been using Microsoft word recently when I export reports. Anyway, my question. We are working on being able to create reports from TMS that have thumbnail images with each record. We are using Crystal Reports as our reporting software, and Thumbs+ to create thumbs for TMS. In addition, we would like to be able to email such reports, but Crystal has a number of limitations in terms of email formats. I'm curious about what others have experienced with trying to do this.
