Just realized this is also relevant -
We create Exhibition records for our outgoing loans as well, and use the
include/exclude on the Exhibition venues tab to allow us to further track when
an object may be approved for one venue and not for another. If a work is
approved for any venue of a traveling exhibition, it is flagged as "approved" in
the Loans module, and then in the Exhibitions module we indicate any venue it is
excluded from. Crystal reports sort out the lists for us based on both the
Loan/Reserve status and the Venue lists.
Hi Eliza,
At the Guggenheim, we use the Loan/Reserve status drop-down on the
Loans module's Objects tab with values such as:
approved
approved-ratified
cancelled
declined
pending-high priority
pending-low priority
pending-medium priority
We use this for both outgoing and incoming loans, keeping track of both
the status of requests from outside and requests we make of other institutions.
We use Crystal Reports to produce checklists that filter out any cancelled or
declined objects and/or that list all objects and reflect the loan/reserve
status for each.
I'd like to see us start tracking request and approval dates as well, and
we may use the new date fields (on the Loans module's Objects xref screen) in
TMS 9.2 for this, as it seems doubtful that we'll track fees on this screen -
but that is yet to be decided.

Hello,
We are trying to devise a way to track outgoing loan
requests and consideration in TMS. We are using the loans module to manage
approved outgoing loans, but have no way to track the progress or denial of
other requests.
Are any institutions tracking this information? If
so, how are you maintaining the data in TMS?
Thank you!
