Hi Jeri, I have a recommendation from Colin White, Deputy Head of our Photographic Dept, who writes: The fuji S7000 is a good cheap digital camera with lots of functions (flash, zoom, etc), and pretty good image quality. I think it is very reasonably priced ( under £500). Hope this is useful, Gillian Essam Collection Information Manager The National Gallery Trafalgar Square London WC2N 5DN tel: 020 7747 2543 fax: 020 7747 2472 email: [log in to unmask] -----Original Message----- From: Jeri Moxley [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: 17 May 2005 16:19 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: digital cameras? I'm shopping for digital cameras for general use by our staff (registrars, curators, art handlers, conservators, etc.). They'd be used for general identification shots, packing & crating documentation, as well as for detail shots when needed. We'd like to get something simple, but at the same time a camera that will produce dependable results under many different lighting conditions. For ease of support and training, we're hoping to purchase the same general use model across departments. These images will land in our TMS database for internal use/reference. Are there any camera recommendations in this crowd? Anyone have a camera that you & your staff love? Thanks, Jeri *********** Jeri Moxley TMS Specialist Solomon R.
