I'm working on a project right now with thread from Silk City Fibers. It is called Sleek. It comes in a range of colors. There is no fiber content on the label on the cone but it is shiny and slippery. The weight is about the same as the 5/2 perle cotton that I am plying it with for my project. Silk City Fibers is in New Jersey. They have a great website and the phone number is 973-942-1100. I have a masters degree in textile conservation from FIT. I am currently working free lance doing custom embroidery, crochet and knitting design. If you are looking for someone to construct your shade pulls, I would be happy to work with you on the project. Please feel free to e-mail me if there is any way I can be of assistance.
