Hi Jeri, We debated this in Houston, but ultimately decided that it was best for it to be under the Registrar umbrella rather than IT. In Houston, the Registrar reports directly to the Director, as do all of the Curators. We have no separate Collections Management department. IT functions under an umbrella overseen by the Operations Administrator. We haven't actually hired a TMS manager yet, so we haven't had a chance to see if it will work or not. Currently I try to do my best as a TMS manager while also being a Registrar, but I don't think that this is too uncommon among any of us.... Hi all, Quick survey for TMS managers: Do you report to Registrar? Collections Management? Curatorial? Information Technology? What are the pros and cons of managing TMS from within each of these different departments? Thanks for any feedback - Happy Holidays! Jeri -------------- Jeri L.
