Hello!, We're just about to sign on with Luna and are planning a programming tie-in to import object description metadata from TMS (mapped to CDWA-Lite). I'm hopeful that we'll also be able to automate dropping in the thumbnail and a link back to Luna for the fullsize image and technical/administrative metadata as well, making it a 2-way process. A couple of institutions have recently implemented Media Bin (Interwoven) and are also doing the TMS tie-in: Minneapolis Institute of Arts, SFMoMA, Metropolitan Museum. Dallas Museum of Art uses Stellant and is thinking about a TMS link. We did a session at last year's MCN conference -- our PowerPoint slides are available on the MCN website: http://www.mcn.edu/conference/mcn2006/SessionPapers/GetThePicture_DAM.pdf Deborah Deborah Wythe Head, Digital Collections and Services Brooklyn Museum 200 Eastern Parkway Brooklyn, NY 11238 tel: 718 501 6311 fax: 718 501 6145 [log in to unmask] ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Thomas R. We would be interested to know what institutions out there are using TMS and some software program to manage their digital assets (which does not necessarily mean a literal DAM or that what you are using is "talking" to TMS). As we learn about various pairings, we would like to contact some of you to learn what works and does not work in your particular situation and perhaps make a site visit. Please supply us with the product(s) you are using and who would be the best person for us to talk to about all of this. If you prefer to contact us off-list, you will find our contact information below. Thank you all! John ffrench <mailto:[log in to unmask]> [log in to unmask] Thomas R.
