Gillian Thanks Lourdes From: The Museum System (TMS) Users [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Essam, Gillian Sent: Thursday, March 08, 2007 11:20 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: About anonymous author and TMS Hi Lourdes, At National Gallery, London we attribute each of our anonymous works to a school of painting e.g. 'Italian, Florentine' or 'German'. We create a Constituent record for each school and enter 'Italian, Florentine' in the Last Name, Display Name and AlphaSort fields. The name of the school can express doubt e.g. 'Italian (?)' or 'English or French'. Hope this is useful, Gillian Gillian Essam Collection Information Manager The National Gallery Trafalgar Square London WC2N 5DN Tel: 020 7747 2543 Fax: 0207747 2472 email: [log in to unmask] ________________________________ From: The Museum System (TMS) Users [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Lourdes M. We have some works of art with anonymous author. As I am entering the information in TMS we found a problem: in constituents, how we should put an anonymous author. Does anyone have in the list of constituent names like Jane Doe, anonymous author, etc. I would like to know, if anyone of you can tell me, how you deal with this. Thanks. Lourdes M.
