I am curious to know how many of you have altered the accession # syntax for your database records.
For example, if an object is marked with a 2 digit year #, does the database entry for the object use a 4 digit year#?
Are leading zeros used in the transaction and item # parts of the accession # on the database entry even though leading zeros are not marked on the object?
If accession # syntax was altered for the database entry why was this done?
Thank you,
Noel Valentin
