Hi David,

I actually did some research on this with our client at the Berkeley office and ironically, I sent instructions to 2 of my clients in Texas, the Stark Museum in Orange and the American Airpower Heritage Museum (AAHM) in Midland, Texas.  I actually spoke to my client at the AAHM in Midland this afternoon and they said they have it working successfully.  Since I did the testing, I saw it with my own eyes.

It is not that hard, but I am more than willing to send the information/instructions that I have prepared.  I have shared these instructions with our support staff and I think they mentioned at CI that they would post them on our support site, but I don’t see them on there at the moment (I might not be looking in the wrong place).

Look for the information in my next email.

Best,

Paul

Subject: TMS on dual platform

I’ve heard rumors that there are museums out there that run their TMS on a dual platform so that they can have Mac and PC users accessing data at the same time… It sounds like crazy science fiction to me, and it’s entirely possible that I’ve misunderstood, but is anyone doing such a thing?  If so, how do you do it?  Our graphic designers and image librarians who do their work on Macs would love access to TMS without having to have a second workstation…

Thanks,

David
