You should use the Events Module. While TMS 9.35 does not handle Events <-> Exhibition Relationships, this is a feature that is slated to be added in the upcoming release of TMS 9.38 (GS, correct me if I spoke incorrectly) Chad M Petrovay Collections Database Administrator P: 410.547.9000 x266 -----Original Message----- From: The Museum System (TMS) Users [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Laura Nemmers \\ eoj Sent: Wednesday, September 10, 2008 11:41 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Storage for Lecture INFO Hello TMS Users! I am trying to figure out where I can add in TMS information from lectures, gallery talks, etc. that are specifically related to an exhibition or work of art (in that case linked to the object module) For example, say we have a lecture on Monet on September 3, 2002. Can I make that date an event attached to the exhibition module for a show called Monet in the Age of Impressionism? Can I attach the lecture date and notes to the Monet object in the collection as well? I would also like to give other departments that need it (such as education) access to enter data into that module without tinkering with anything else. As near as I can tell the EVENTS module does not work with the EXHIBITIONS module. I hope this is not too confusing. I am interested in finding out how others that use TMS store information regarding lectures etc. Please let me know and feel free to respond off list. Thank you in advance!
