Job Title: Collections Database Officer 

Job Description: The aim of Tate is to increase public awareness,
understanding and appreciation of British art from the 16th century to
the present day, and of international modern and contemporary art. 
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Information Systems
department providing a service to over 300 users Tate wide. The Museum
System (TMS) is a sophisticated collections management system used by
the gallery to catalogue its collection and to manage its loans and
exhibitions programmes. Taking specific responsibility for the quality
of the data, you will work closely with users to ensure that the data is
correct and errors are resolved. You will also be involved in the
maintenance and on going development of the system as well supporting
it's users across Tate. 
You will have a good understanding of information management including
experience of documentation practice, ideally supporting core museum
functions. Your strong organisational skills will enable you to work
consistently with accuracy and attention to detail on concurrent
projects. Your effective communication skills will provide the ability
to deliver training to groups and individuals. As well as this you will
have excellent IT skills including experience of using large scale
database applications and will be an advocate for the use of the system.
