CEMS Coordinator | Collection and Exhibition Technologies

Represents Collection and Exhibition Technologies in meetings with CEMS
(TMS) users throughout Museum to determine production goals and
determine where information is incomplete or otherwise in need of
attention.  Provides first level assistance to museum staff regarding
use of Gallery Systems software.  Works with Museum staff to prepare
reports for Gallery Systems software upon request.  Coordinates with
Department of Information Technology to resolve functional issues.
Provides data entry assistance as well as maintains and documents data
entry standards and procedures.  Creates and manages new user accounts.
Provides small group and one-on-one training sessions for new TMS users.
Reports to Manager of Collection and Exhibition Technologies.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree. Experience working in museum setting;
1-2 years' experience with Gallery Systems' The Museum System or other
museum collections management software; proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
firm understanding of relational database structure and function;
proficiency with Crystal Reports software or other report-writing
program; familiarity with museum registration methods and cataloguing
standards, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work
independently with limited supervision; excellent organizational,
writing, proofreading, and analytical skills, with close attention to
detail.
