Thank
you for your input, I think, the only solution for us will be to resize and pad
our images too!

herzlichen Grüßen

TMS-internal thumbnails can be padded square using the Thumbnailer
plug-in. When all images are padded square, they appear centered on reports.
For
the larger size images dynamically pulled into some of our reports, we use a
photoshop action to normalize the resolutions (72 or 150, depending on the
original resolution), then Expression Media to pad the images square to
specific pixel H and W. We resize and pad all primary images in TMS as a weekly
batch process, and run other images through this process per staff requests.

The very dumb thing about images in
Crystal reports is that you can't exactly center them, even if you put the
"MainImage" thumbblob into a subreport, which has controls for left,
center and right. No matter what, they are left-justified relative to their
shape, even if centered on the page. I wish there were a way, too.

Subject: Report/Crystal Reports Help
Hello,
I am working on a photo report for our
restauration team. So far I have managed to generate a report that enables them
to print all fotos from an object packages in there original size at once. But
as these fotos vary in size and format, I am desparately looking for a way to
center (dynamic) OLE-Objects in reports/subreports, so a least they always
appear in the center of the page. Actually Crystal Reports offers an "alignment"
command in the formatting menue and it seems to be exactly what I need, but it
is always inactive and I do not know why. Does anyone have a an idea why or how
I can solve this problem?
Thanks a lot for your help and my best
regard,
Katharina
