Everyone,

Thank you all for your kind notes about Miriam. It means so much to us.

Several of you have asked for an address to send a message to Miriam’s family. That would be most welcome. If you would like to send a note, please contact me for the address. All of our listserv messages get posted to a website archive and I didn’t want to end up posting the family’s home address on the web.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, anyone that chooses to make a memorial contribution may do so to Georgetown University or to The Trustees of Reservations, 572 Essex Street, Beverly, MA 01915-1530.

Many thanks,

RD

We at the North Carolina Humanities Council send our accolades for Miriam Keegan as she supported our maiden voyage as presenters of MoMS. She remains in our hearts and minds a true asset to its success.

May her family and the staff there in Washington have comfort in the loss of their colleague and know that we are with you.

Everyone,

We sadly send along news this morning that Miriam Keegan, SITES’ director of public relations, passed away Saturday morning after a long, valiant fight against cancer.

Many of you had a chance to meet Miriam and work with her on MoMS projects. She was pure inspiration for the MoMS team – charming, witty, and full of good humor. We’ll miss her kindness, her grace and her dignity, but always cherish what she taught us about the value of a positive and hopeful life.

Miriam is survived by her husband, their three children, her mother and brother, and a multitude of friends.

Thanks,

The MoMS Team
