Assistant Registrar for The W.H. Stark House – 1 year position
The W.H. Stark House, a program of the Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark
Foundation, is seeking an experienced Assistant Registrar for a one year assignment. The Assistant
Register will work under the direction of the Stark Museum of Art Registrar to
update and maintain the W.H. Stark House object records in the collection
management database,
The W.H. Stark House:
The W.H. Stark House is a 14,000 square-foot home built in 1894 in
Today, the three-story structure stands much as it did at the turn of
the 20th century, with fifteen rooms of original family furnishings,
personal effects and decorative arts. The interior of both The W.H. Stark
House and its adjacent Carriage House depicts the home life of the Starks in
the early 1900s and provides an extraordinary statement of
The W.H. Stark House is listed in the National Register of Historic
Places and designated as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark by the Texas
Historical Commission.

Physical Requirements: Stairs
are an essential part of The W.H. Stark House. The Assistant Registrar
must have the ability to climb stairs; stepladders, lift up to 20#; ability to
see colors; and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Compensation: Compensation
is $961.54/bi-weekly; temporary position does not include benefits
