Hi Liana,
=20
Here at the Getty we do a couple things:
=20
In Exhibitions: In the remarks field we enter the openings in order - 1st =
rotation followed by 2nd rotation with a semi-colon in between. In the =
Segment field, which is not visible in 9.35 (may be in TMS 2010 - we don't =
have our test environment set up yet) we enter "a" for first rotation, "b" =
for second rotation, "c" for third rotation and "x" for on display during =
all rotations. This allows reports to display objects based on their =
rotation. If a user wants first rotation they get everything where =
Segment =3D "a" or "x".  If they want all objects they get "a", "b", "c" =
and "x". I also note the rotation dates on the Notes Tab under Text =
Entries.
=20
In Objects: We will enter the display page if the rotation is a book where =
we turn the page in the Location Remarks field. If the whole object was =
switch there would be movements for the actual object exchange. I just =
did a page turning yesterday for one of our exhibitions and did a new move =
with the new page opening cited in Remarks. =20
=20
Also, for our permanent collection we enter "part" records for our =
folios/images inside of our manuscripts and photographic books and albums. =
We attach those part records to the exhibition in addition to the =
manuscript or book or album record. It helps us to determine exposure =
history for a particular object even when it is inside a manuscript, book =
or album.
=20
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
=20

Hi,

I am looking for advice on how to track rotations of works of art in and =
out of an exhibition. I have thought of using statuses in objects to =
capture if a work was in the 1st or 2nd rotation but would like to hear =
from anyone who is tracking this successfully.

Many thanks,
