Dear Hilde,
At the National Gallery, London we enter a status of the type ‘Exhibition’ and value ‘Cancelled’ under the Status area on the General Tab of the Exhibition Module record. (Other values are: Wish list; Provisional; Confirmed). Then we use these terms when creating reports to filter out cancelled exhibitions if necessary. Fortunately cancelled exhibitions do not occur often!
Kind regards, Gillian

Subject: Cancelled exhibitions
Dear TMS users,
In our database we have recorded some planned but cancelled exhibitions. We keep the records for documentation. Some of the exhibitions had reached the stage where exhibition objects have been added, and these exhibitions thus show up on the objects’ related tab in the objects module. The name of the exhibition has a prefix telling us that this particular exhibition was cancelled, but what we’ve begun thinking about is how we can avoid counting them in reporting and whether there is a proper way in TMS to mark the exhibitions as cancelled? If e.g. we want to make a report showing us how many exhibitions an object has been exhibited at these cancelled ones would also appear. Is there in the exhibitions module a way to mark an exhibition as cancelled?
Does any of you record planned but cancelled exhibitions in TMS, and if so, how you deal with those exhibitions in your reports?
Thanks in advance and kind regards from
Hilde Bøe
