We will be cataloging collection video, sound recordings, and film and creating related records in TMS, so I’d be interested in the standards anyone using TMS has developed for media.

David, Amber, and Jared, would you please include me on your exchanges?

Thank you.

Thanks to Amber and David – I may contact you both off-list after my long weekend. It’s good to know that we’re not alone in this. We primarily have film elements that we’re cataloging, which does have different needs than video. Anyone also cataloging film?

Sort of.  We have existing records but there’s been some disagreement about whether or not they are acceptable.  We’re going to be taking a close look at them in the next few weeks and most likely planning a major overhaul.  So maybe we can plan to share information!

Best regards,
Amber

Is anyone else out there in TMS-land cataloging moving image collections?
