Hi Bethany,
I’ve never had to do this before, but it looks like it’s possible if you go to View > Hierarchy in the Loan record. Then right click on loans to link another
record through Add Parent, Child, or See Also. You might have to create the relationship name first, by going to Edit > Relationships, if one has not been created yet for loans.

Subject: Connecting loans
Hi, everyone –
I’ve got a Loan module question.
We have an object that was loaned to us for a larger exhibition that is being displayed at other institutions (not our own). So we have an incoming loan for that object, and then it is also part of a larger outgoing loan. Is there a way
to link these two loans as related?
In the Loans module under “Related,” Loans is included as a choice, along with Objects, Exhibitions, Constituents, etc. But I can’t figure out how to actually connect a loan to another loan (if I click on Related –> Loans, I get the dialog
box notification “Nothing was found from your search.”). They are connected in Exhibition module, of course.
It might not be necessary, but does anyone know if it’s possible?
Thanks!
