I really appreciate the help, but I still seem to be doing something wrong. Looking at the screen shot below, you can see what I’ve added to the Objects module Query Assistant and then the search result I get. Adding the Term field from the Object-Related Constituents group to the Query Assistant is fine, but when I then search on the word “female” in that field, I get nothing. I know we have over 300 Constituent records that have the Attribute of “female” and which are linked into Object records as Object-Related Constituents, so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Thanks for your reply. I had tried adding that field to the Objects Query Assistant yesterday, but I received (and am still receiving) a message saying “Cannot drop here”. It looks like something in the Configuration settings is stopping me from adding it, though I can’t tell what (I am logged in as the main system administrator account to try this). Thanks again,

Hi Joe,

We’ve put gender in the Constituent attributes as well, and I’ve added the term search to the Objects Query Assistant so that it’s searchable through Objects. You can do this through Database Configuration > Query Groups > Available Hierarchies > Objects> Constituent Xrefs > keep drilling down until you get to Constituents > Term Search >Thesaurus Terms. Select the “Term” field there and drag it into the Objects, Query Assistant section.

I was wondering if anyone had a report to generate a list of objects filtered by Constituent attribute or an idea on how to do a search in the Objects module by the same. This has come up because one of our educators would like to have a list of all of the objects by female artists in our collection. We put gender into Constituent records as an Attribute, so it is a trivial thing to go into the Constituent module, do a Term search on “female artist” (all words) and come up with all of the relevant Constituents. But given that there are several hundred of them, with a number having objects that were merely loans, etc., it’s a pain to construct an object list through that path. I want to run the search or report in the Objects module, but am finding it tests my abilities at the moment (and I have no TMS admin right now!). Thanks in advance,
