Hi Christine
I recently (1 year ago) purchased red Stabletex from an English company called Plastok who manufacture filter mesh of all types. They don’t list it on their website which is very basic but if you send an email asking for Stabletex or Tetex they are very helpful. They supply a few colours and white and all are very similar to the previously available products.
Their website is: http://www.plastok.co.uk/home.php Email: [log in to unmask]
Good Luck

Subject: source for Cherry red Stabiltex or comprobable material
Dear Colleagues,
I am posting the message below on behalf of a graduate student in the UCLA/Getty graduate program who is searching for a source for Cherry red Stabiltex.
As most of you may know, the Swiss company who manufactured Stabiltex has discontinued this product. Talas has no stocks of red remaining. Cameo reports that a product called Tetex TR is sold as a replacement, but the manufacturer, Sefar, website gave me a page error reading.
Thanks to all,
Christine Giuntini

Hello,
I am treating a Tuscarora headdress with significant losses of red wool trade cloth on the trailer. As such, I seek approximately 2.5' x 42" (or 4') of Cherry Red Stabiltex to back the area. Does anyone have extra material on hand, which you're willing to share? If so, please contact me offline at [log in to unmask]. I am happy to reimburse for the material, as well as for shipping costs.
Many thanks,
Geneva Griswold
