If you cannot get them access to their original logins, you can give the new logins access to their old collections from the database side.  I had to do this when I moved to a new server many months ago.

Hi Diane,

Thanks for the tip! I am looking at our settings now and see that the default of 30 days/30 days is in place.

Best,

Janette

Could it be the setting in Configuration>User Roles Configuration>Config User Management? (Signed in as ‘superuser’ with permissions to change the configurations.)

There is the setting that you can change for “Deactivate users after [fill-in] days.” And “Delete deactived users after [fill-in] days. I don’t remember what the default was set at when we set it up, but I know I had to change it. I’ve got ours set to 365 days and 800 days.

I would check that first.

D.

Subject: problems with eMuseum "My Collection"

Good morning everyone,

Our docents have been using the My Collections function of eMuseum in preparation for various tours and presentations and have had ongoing problems. Specifically, there have been issues with signing back in, and they are prompted to re-register. When they create a new account, however, they are losing the work that they have done signed in under their original login. Is this a problem other museums are having? We are fairly new to eMuseum so it could be that we are doing something wrong.

Thanks for any advice you can offer!

Best,

Janette
