We use Remote Desktop clients on PCs, Macs, iPhones,  iPads and Chromebooks. It is very handy being able to run TMS from any location on any device.

Hi Sarah,

TMS only works on a PC when it is installed directly on the workstation.

If you have TMS installed on a terminal server (which must use the Windows operating system), you can use TMS via remote desktop from a PC or Mac.

The remote desktop configuration is how we have the Yale Center for British Art to handle both Macs, PCs and accessing TMS from home or when travelling.

Subject: Question - Mac v PC

Hello,

I have a question regarding the installation and use of TMS on a PC v a Mac.  There are some in my institutions who refuse to use anything but a Mac, while we mainly all work on PCs, especially for database access.

Is it possible to install TMS on a Mac and expect the same results as if it were running on a PC?  Has anyone else had similar issues of staff only wanting to use Macs?

Best Regards,
