Hi Emmanuelle,
We associate them (dealers and past owners) under Ex-Collections Related constituents. We add them as Previous Owners and adjust the prefix as needed (most of the time to “Purchased from”, “Dealer”,
“Past Owner”). We add in their dates of ownership under the Cross-Reference Information tab. Any details about the transactions or notes about the constituent is added to the Remarks field under the Cross-Reference Characteristics tab in the Ex-Collections
Related field. Any dates for the donor (purchase year and donation year) are added under the donor’s name in the Acquisition Related field, including the Amount (if known) that they paid for it.
Hopes this helps.
Best,
Christa Barleben

Subject: transaction constituents and dates
Dear all
For object provenance, wondering if anyone is capturing the dates of transaction between the various constituents involved and if yes, how? In historical dates? How do you associate them with specific acquisition related constituents?
Thanks
Emmanuelle
