Hi Marin,

We here at the MET use Flex Fields in a variety of ways and have been able to extract that data into reports. Feel free to email me if you need help doing that in Crystal.

I've set up this Workflow flex field for one of our curatorial departments, they are embarking on a project to scan all of their card catalogues and upload these images into TMS. Boxes are greyed out until tasks have been checked off.

I've included a simple screen cast on how I would search for objects that card catalogues have been Scanned and are also Reviewed and Approved.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Subject: Flex fields

Greetings,

We're wondering how to implement flex fields but struggling because it seems they are unexpectedly complicated to search and report on ... are we missing something? When we create a specific group, with a combination of field names with a simple checkbox or field names with a controlled field list of multi-value options, we can't seem to get at those multi-values in a search. Have others been successfully using flex fields, and could you share some examples of them? They seem like they have so much potential ....

Many thanks,
Marin
