Subject: Adding Single Components to Loan

Hi, all!

I’m wondering if anyone knows if it’s possible to add components to a loan, rather than an entire object record. The only work-around we’ve found is to create a separate object record for a component to add to a loan or make a note in the loan that it only applies to certain components of the listed object numbers.

For example, we have some dishware sets, numbered like 123.45a-z (a-z being the 26 matching pieces of the set). Currently, if someone borrows serving bowl 123.45d, the loan information doesn’t reflect this, but instead looks like the entire set is on loan. Of course, the locations are all fine, since separate components can have separate locations, but… it would be great if loans could reflect this, too!

Thanks for suggestions!

Bethany
