Hi Alicia,

We just ran into the same dilemma. After contacting Gallery Systems, they were able to send along a subreport with formulas to convert the cm to inches and then have the inches display as fractions instead of decimals. I modified the formulas slightly and used them in the attached report. Hopefully this will serve as a good reference for you  — the report applies the formulas to crate dimensions but should be the same concept for the object dimension fields.

Hope this helps!

Best,

Maddie

Subject: Crystal Reports Dimensions - Centimeters to Inches

Hi everyone,

We are currently working on a crystal report that lists dimensions H-W-D in columns, with their values in inches. However, when we run the report the values are pulling in centimeters.

We think we'll need to create a formula to convert these values but are unsure where to put it, any ideas? We are utilizing the Object Dimensions and Objects views, would a different view/table solve the problem?

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks,

Alicia
