Hi Mary,
There were two papers on lab ergonomics at last week’s AICCM Textile Symposium in Sydney, HAG Capsico chairs were
mentioned and I believe the textile conservators from the National Gallery Victoria, Melbourne presented at NATCC in NYC as well. Feel free to contact me for the pdf references. I was recently quoted NZD$1800 for the chair, about US$1200
Best regards

Dear Mary,
For my own studio, I am very happy with the Capisco chair by the Danish company Hag

the height can be adjusted - there are three sizes for the telescopic lift, + lots of other features, worth every penny.
with best wishes

Has anyone looked into suppliers for ergonomic chairs for textile lab work recently? I would be
interested in hearing about successes—and failures!
There were some discussions a decade or more back—have they continued to hold up? Are they still
comfortable?
Ergonomic chairs appear to be expensive and I would prefer to get something that adapts to people
of different sizes.
